Gabriel Cushion in Linen and Cotton

Gabriel is something of an Uncommon Ground. miracle: rich and organic, his beautiful linen and cotton blend harnesses the raw elegance of linen with the softness and drape of cotton.

The linen and cotton begin their journey as raw, natural fibres—each bringing their own unique qualities: linen is strong, crisp, and full of texture, whilst cotton is soft, pliable, and effortlessly smooth. To create a fabric that balances both, the fibres must be carefully prepared. Flax fibres are combed, softened, and spun into fine linen threads, enhancing their strength and renowned slub texture. Meanwhile, cloud-like cotton bolls are spun separately into silky, flexible threads, adding a gentle drape and inviting softness.

It is only when these two threads are carefully blended can we create our signature 70% linen and 30% cotton yarn—a precise alchemy of structure and movement. It's a unique composition that's both perfect for feel and durability.

Handmade in England, and finished with a beautiful cream Lancashire Linen piping, Gabriel's rosey rouge colour will bring joy and delight to your favourite armchair or banquette. He is completed with a 100% heavy weight duck feather cushion pad, also handmade in England. His concealed YKK zip enclosure also allows for the cover to be removed for easy cleaning.
